Boniface Thomasi Kyara comes from Kishumundu village in Kilimanjaro area, where he attended elementary school. He then continued his studies at the lower secondary school of Mnini. His father died in 2018, Boniface has since grown up with just his mother and other relatives.

He is most interested in science subjects, after graduation he would like to continue to university and become a pilot.

In his spare time he likes to read, travel and watch football.

KiT has supported him in A-level studies at XY since 2025.
