Baraka Laizer Aloyce is the second student recommended by Ailsa. He is an orphan similar to Godfrey. His mother’s died when he was five. He’s never met his father. He’s left his family due to the harsh treatment. Three years spent on the street were a hard but still important lesson for him. He realized that the only way for him to a better life is through the education. He found the first refuge and received the first basic education from the Center for homeless children. But during his high school studies, he got lost again and had to search for new sponsors again. Nevertheless, in his situation, he was able to find some time to help others. When his elder brother fell ill Baraka had to interrupt his studies to be able to take care of him. Before he fell sick, his brother had spent eight years in the prison. Although Baraka was missing the school for quite a long time he got the best marks in his final exams. He was one of the 25 best students from the overall 600. He was proud of himself especial for the science subjects results. These are important for him because he’d like to become a biomedical engineer. In his free time, he likes to play football. He did even represent the Kilimanjaro area in a Dar-es-Salaam tournament. He likes to reading, especially novels.
