KiT Committee Meeting
Hi,
there has been the KiT Committee meeting due to the final decision of the new students. We have also summed up the past year and discussed the future plans.

What’s New?
Dear friends,
After some pause we are here to inform you that we are not sleeping and that we are working on our KiT project :)
We are just preparing the KiT report for the year 2014 and hopefully it will be available in the electronic form by the end of the February.
We have received 9 A-level candidates for the KiT support. 7 of these have been chosen by Emma and two of them by another Tanzanian coordinator from the Born to Learn organization. Emma met her while visiting one of the 0-level schools and she mentioned some suitable candidates for us.
The Born to Learn organization has started and is managing a basic school near to Moshi where very poor children are studying. We’ll inform you more about this at the coming KiT general meeting scheduled for the end of the February.
Currently we have 93,000 CZK on our bank account and we are convinced that we will be able to support 3 to 4 new students including the current students AGARL.

New Students
Hi,
today we started to choose new students based on the essays from sent by Emma.
Students support in the future will be chosen based on these essays, Emma’s recommendations, and KiT Committee decision. The final decision together with more info will be available here in News and in the students' section as well.
And with some delay, we’d like to wish you all the best for the New Year and take care :)

Money for Kazungu (Lydia)
Hi all,
we’d been in touch with Lydia by the end of October regarding money for the coming year. This was due to the unknown amount of the money requested by school.
Now we know that the amount is more or less similar to the last year amount - 1 425 000 Tzs ( 19 300 CZK). The money was sent to her mother. She has used them partially for paying the school fees and the rest she gave to Lydia for taking these to school (and again the time was not on our side and we’ve managed to send the money as the “last minute” cause Lydia has received the money on the last before her leave for school for a year).
Another good news is regarding our KiT e-mail - the bi-directorial communication has been re-established and we started to receive the e-mails once again. We’d like to ask those who haven’t received any reply to his or her e-mail to resend it now and we’ll try to reply to it ASAP. We are sincerely apologizing for the troubles.

Hi,
thanks to all of you that have managed to create a permanent order to our new bank account. In the account, at the moment we have a balance of 94.000 CZK, which I am sure it will enable us to take on board minimum three students for next year.
Other news, Veny, Simon and their two boys are flying to Tanzania in the second half of November to visit their family. Apart from other things, they would like to meet our existing students A.G.A.R and also visit the schools from where we are planning to select our new students. This is a unique opportunity that is why we are encouraging you to give us any functional (older) notebooks that we can take with us for our students.
