Sending of Money
Dear friends and sponsors,
we have sent money (50,000 CZK including the charges) to Tanzania for our University students so that they are able to keep on university studies.
All went OK and Emma received it and has transferred it to the Agness, Gregory, and August (we’ve received a confirmation e-mail from Agness and similar confirmation via WhatsApp from Gregory and August). Gregory has received approx. 18 thousand CZK; Agness 16,5 thousand CZK for accommodation and August 4,8 thousand CZK. (Godfrey, our new student, has received a pocket money 2,400 CZK). The rest of the money is now on Emma’s account.
We are going to send next money by the end of October / beginning of November. The money should be for the second semester of our A-level students and most probably some money for Rose’s University studies as well. We are still waiting for the news from them.
If anyone of you hesitates with sending money now or later, please be advised by saying: “Who gives quickly, gives twice” ;)
Our new students (Angelina, Jackelin & Baraka) should soon leave for holidays. We are encouraging Emma to remind them they should send news about themselves and about their school. (at least the school results). Godfrey has returned from his holidays already and now he is back to school.
We’ll be in touch ;)

Small Update
Dear friends and sponsors,
here we are with another short update about our non-profit KiT. It looks like all goes well :)
During the spring we’ve informed you about our four new students - Angelina, Jackelin, Baraka, and Godfrey. Currently, they are all at their A-level high schools. Unfortunately, communication with them is “a bit” limited due to the fact that they are not allowed to use their mobile phones. Only Godfrey is in touch with us by email as he has a reasonable access to the Internet. Recently he was quite curious about the meaning of the word “Komensky” and also wrote us about his future plans to help homeless children (he’s got quite rough experiences with the living on the street). So we hope the plans come true.
We’ve sent to each and to all four new students an amount of 1,000,000 mil Tzs (approx 12,500 CZK) for their studies. This is the first half of the money we agreed they should receive for the whole year. Only to Godfrey we’ve sent an additional amount of approx 4,500 CZK due to the fact that he is the only one fully dependent on the KiT support (he’s got neither relatives nor friends who could support him). If there are no objections and our funds are sufficient we’d like to send him a small pocket money even in the future so that he is able to copy study materials and possibly have something left for better food as well.
We’d like to get in touch with them during their holidays and ask them for some news. They should receive the second half of the money at the beginning of the second semester.
And how about the progress of other the students? We are really happy about Rose who finished A-level with very good results. She is now searching for the proper university where she could keep on studying. Also, she is now waiting for the decision of Academic Board whether or not she will receive government loan and if, then How much. The final decision should be known at the end of the September or during the October which is also the time Rose should enter the university.
We are in touch with Agnes, August and Gregory as well. They keep on studying auspiciously and during October, we are planning to send them money for the last semester.
During the October we should also have some news from Lydia who is currently studying for the nurse (midwife).
That’s all for now. We’d like to thank you all a lot, for your support! If anyone would like to get in touch with our students we’ll be glad to help you. Take care and we are wishing you enjoyable beginning of the new Czech school year.

News from Tanzania
Dear friends and sponsors,
during the spring general meeting the current KiT committee has been re-confirmed. We introduced four new students – Angelina, Jackline, Baraka, and Godfrey. These four, have been chosen based on their study results motivating essays in English and their life stories which for Baraka and Godfrey were especially emotional.
After sending them the KiT letters of acceptance they started to search for the convenient A-level high schools. Based on our past experiences we have set money amount limit of 2 million Tanzanian shillings (approx 33,000 CZK). We have already sent to Emma’s account the money for the first semester. We’ve received information from Baraka that he has already chosen a school and started to study. Godfrey, Angelina, and Jackline have been accepted by their schools as well. Godfrey should start during June and both girls during July.
We are not very happy about the year school fees which is continuously increasing year after year. Fortunately, Angelina, Jackline, and Baraka can be further supported by their relatives or friends. Godfrey is not so fortunate and most probably we will have to take into account some additional money for him. We will discuss this with Emma first and will take a decision then.
We are still in touch with our University students and with Rose and Kazu as well. We are more and more using WhatsApp to communicate with them where Emma has created a group of all the KiT students. All are doing well and they are sending greetings.
Thanks a lot for Your support and we are awaiting any comments or ideas :)
